Bank Sarasin not to proceed with joint-venture in Bahrain

Bank Sarasin & Co. Ltd and the El-Khereiji Group will not proceed with their intended joint venture, announced in December 2007. The Central Bank of Bahrain has been advised accordingly with regard to the voluntary surrender of the Investment Business Licence (Category2) granted in favour of the venture in July 2008.
